Learning Solitude (2018)

A physical installation with a needy online presence. The object in the gallery either rejects attention or warmly welcomes visitors based on the number of likes it has received on its Instagram account. The posts on instagram are "selfies" of representations of the machine's memory of the physical space over time. Depending on the vistors in the space, it either posts generative text about loneliness, or self-actualization.

The Instagram feed lives still.
